This is about a little bunny who has a very bad day. While waiting for the bus home from school, she pretends to go the the Bunny Planet and envisions a perfect day. The day involves picking garden vegetables on a warm June day. Her mother asks her to pick a ripe tomato. There is only one in the garden. When little Bunny picks the tomato, she smells its "fat, red smell" and wishes she could eat it. She does the right thing and takes it to her mother, who ends up making little Bunny First Tomato soup. At the end of the musings to the pretend Bunny Planet, the bus arrives to take little Bunny home.   Search in the Library Catalog
